The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are actually open and may close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house which has a combined gross house income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family revenue won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish read more not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Identification Document numbers, 2025 nsfas application names, and surname, as reflected of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are learning or intend to research at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now nsfas status and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
